A Holiness church: God, who is holy, calls us to a life of holiness. Holiness in the life of believers is most clearly understood as Christ-likeness. We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts, cleanses, fills, and empowers us as the grace of God transforms us day by day into a people of love, spiritual discipline, ethical and moral purity, compassion, and justice. It is the work of the Holy Spirit that restores us in the image of God and produces in us the character of Christ.

A Christian church: We are united with all believers in proclaiming the Lordship of Jesus Christ. We believe that in divine love God offers to all people forgiveness of sins and restored relationship. In being reconciled to God, we believe that we are also to be reconciled to one another, loving each other as we have been loved by God and forgiving each other as we have been forgiven by God. We believe that our life together is to exemplify the character of Christ. We look to Scripture as the primary source of spiritual truth confirmed by reason, tradition, and experience.

A Missional church: We are a sent people, responding to the call of Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit to go into all the world, witnessing to the Lordship of Christ and participating with God in the building of the Church and the extension of His kingdom (Matthew 28:19-20; 2 Corinthians 6:1). Our mission (a) begins in worship, (b) ministers to the world in evangelism and compassion, (c) encourages believers toward Christian maturity through discipleship, and (d) prepares women and men for Christian service through Christian higher education.

A Great Commission church: We believe that God offers to everyone forgiveness, peace, joy, purpose, love, meaning in life, and the promise of heaven when life is over by entering and experiencing a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. We are called to take this message to people everywhere.

A Musical church: We delight ourselves in all styles of Christian music every Sunday. From hymns ~to your favorite chorus' ~to present day hymns and songs, our worship leaders guide us to a deeper time of worship with the Lord. Special Easter & Christmas cantata's, dramas, solos, special guest artists, children's bell choir, and children's choir programs enhance our weekly worship time.

A Serving church: We strive to help one another in all the ways we can.

Is someone sick? Here comes dinner and the cleaning crew!
Do you need a last minute babysitter? You have many to choose from!
How about someone to cheer you up or just spend time with you? No worries ~ the DCN cheer up crew is on your way!We also contribute to community wide missions such as the Derby Food Pantry.

We recognize that without each other life would be more difficult. Paul asks his friend "Timothy, please come as soon as you can". (2Tim4:9) God gives us to each other in order to support and encourage each other.
