One of our church's most important goals is to build up our children in Christ, so that they will be prepared for all that life holds for them. We try to offer a lot of fun things, but still want to give them learning experiences that will deepen their faith in God and give them something to base future decisions on. Below you will find several programs expecially for children. Of course we have Sunday School for children and nurseries are available for infants and toddlers.

is a weekly kids club committed to the physical, social, mental, and spiritual growth of children. It uses an active, hands-on learning approach to help kids discover, develop, experience, and grow. Caravans teaches children the Articles of Faith of the Church of the Nazarene, information about prominent figures in Nazarene church history, and valuable skills to help them develop spiritually, socially, mentally, and physically. This program is designed for children in first through sixth grades.Children are assigned to one of the three major groups – Searchers (first and second graders), Explorers (third and fourth graders), or Adventurers (fifth and sixth graders) – according to their grade in school. Each group is under the direction of one or more adult leaders who are called “guides.” The awarding of badges is an optional part of this program, but one that we use at Derby Naz. The kids love them!
Caravans meets every Wednesday night during the school year at 7 p.m.
Benson's Buddies
is a weekly kids club designed for children who are four to six years old but are not yet in first grade. Benson, the double-decker bus, escorts young kids on weekly trips as they discover the shopping mall, the zoo, the farm, school, and many other places.
Benson's Buddies teaches children about the world in which they live and lays the foundation for Christian living. It is the building block and stepping stone into Caravans. Benson's Buddies meets every Wednesday night during the school year at 7 p.m.
Children's Quizzing is a Bible Study for children in grades 1-6. The philosophy of Children’s Bible Quizzing is to study the Bible. It is important to help children know what
the Bible says and help them demonstrate biblical teachings in actual life situations. The goal of Children’s Bible Quizzing is for children to know the God of the Bible. Children participate in Quizzes against children from other Nazarene churches from our area. They memorize books of the Bible and the context in which it is set. Quizzing is the beginning of a lifetime of love for Scripture.
